Recently I met Yue Minjun(link on the bottom)to do an interview on how his artwork comments on contemporary Chinese society, however we started talking about other things and ended up having a conversation about all different sorts of things and now I have a better insight to his artwork and a general view of other artists.

I was flattered by a comment he made when I thanked him for taking the time to meet with me as I know he is busy. He said that it was his pleasure because he wanted to know how modern day teenagers minds worked then he said that he was surprised at the meaningful and thoughtful questions that I asked him and said that he wouldn't have imagined it coming from a teenager. I wasn't sure (and am still not completely sure) about if he meant it as a compliment or not, but for the better of my self esteem I will take it as a compliment.

He is probably China's most famous and richest contemporary artist and I was privileged enough to meet with him thanks to my wonderful mama.
